Creative Edit: Chic Presets

Good morning everyone! It’s Tuesday and I’m feeling inspired today! I’m not really sure why right at this moment…I guess I woke up thinking about all the wonderful possibilities that CHIC has afforded me. As I’m writing this, I’m also recalling the reasons why I created CHIC in the first place. I wanted Lightroom presets tailored to portraits, weddings and social media. I recognized a gap between what already existed in the preset world and what I wanted for my photos. I didn’t want presets that would completely change the way my photos looked. I wanted to buy collections that would subtly enhance and improve the images that I put so much work into creating. And so…CHIC was born. Gorgeous collections that make your photos pop, but won’t make them unrecognizable. The perfect blend to produce images that are soft, whimsical…and trés trés chic! As you can see from the title photo, I’m sharing one of my Creative Edits with you today. This is where I use The Complete Collection to edit each look and share the inspiration behind the preset. This shoot took place in our bedroom…because “baby it’s cold outside!” The concept for the shoot was lounging in bed on a Sunday morning. This is definitely art imitating life…we took these photos on Sunday morning lol. Whether you’re shooting indoor or outdoor, natural light or flash…CHIC has you covered! “Tiffany & Co” – Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s…need I say more?

“Couture” – This preset lightens, brightens and softens your images. Inspiration – A couture gown.

“Art Deco” – Inspired by the design style that was popular from the 1920’s-1950’s. Think Great Gatsby!

“Sugar & Spice” – One word…enhance! This preset gives you a clean, enhanced look…sweet & spicy!

“Fresh Faced” – Design inspiration: A sunset stroll in the garden…simple…soft…gorgeous!

“Ivory White” – This preset is inspired by an elegant white wedding gown. Perfect for bridal shots!

“Faded” – Give those eyes a rest…let all the noise fade into the background…

“Perfection” -This Preset was designed to be your go-to for quick edits. It adds just the right amount of highlights and warmth. When I use it I always end up saying “Ahh…Perfection!”
