Preset – The Portrait Collecton “Riverside”

Hello my gorgeous chic photographers! I’m writing to you from Café Del Mar in beautiful Amsterdam! I am currently perched in the window of the café on a vintage iron stool with a warn-in leather cushion. I’m looking out on to one of the many canals in this charming Dutch neighbourhood. Below me are Spanish tiles that lead up the stairs to an intricate herringbone wood floor in the centre of the shop. To my right, tourists and Dutch locals order their cappuccinos and chat in all sorts of languages. I notice that everyone is holding their drinks extra close this morning as it’s been rather chilly out due to the rain. So, what can I tell you about Amsterdam? Well, I think the first thing I need to share is that I have fallen hopelessly, head over heals in love with this city! The people, the culture, the architecture…it’s like something out of a beautifully written novel or a well produced foreign film. I haven’t even left yet, and I’m already dreaming up ways to come back! Everyone we have encountered has been impossibly generous and delightful! We have been spending our time walking the brick laid canals and biking the busy streets that are filled with cars, motorcycles, vespas and pedestrians alike. We’ve indulged in traditional Dutch food & drink and fully immersed ourselves in our enchanting surroundings. We were lucky enough to have a friend of a friend who lives here show us some of the hidden gems of the city. I’ve been photographing century old row houses, colorful bicycles and glass boats on the canal. I can’t wait to show you how stunning the city really is, but for now…the post card above is a little teaser for what’s to come in the next few months. Well, we just got the check and I must be on my way to catch our train. Next stop is sunny Venice! Visit me in a few days for my update from Italy. Until then…sweet dreams until sun beams find you!
