Free Lightroom Preset Sunflower

Hey chic photographers! Your Free Lightroom Preset is ready to download! This one is called: Sunflower! There is a rather funny story behind this shot. This photo was taken somewhere between Montlouis-sur-Loire and Bordeaux, France. I say “somewhere” because I actually have no idea where we were at the time. We rented a car and we were relying on a French GPS navigation system to take us South towards the beautiful city of Bordeaux. No one knew how to program the GPS (The menu was in French of course) and after a while we realized that something strange was going on…After driving for hours and hours we were no where near our destination. We couldn’t complain because the scenery was down right magical…everything from medieval towns to century old bridges were laid out before us like a parade of postcard scenes. Before we knew it, the GPS was directing us to head down a dirt road and right into this field of sunflowers! I was beside myself with excitement and I convinced everyone to pull over to take some photos. It was starting to rain and we were still so far from our destination, so after a few quick shots we decided to move on. It wasn’t until we stopped at a gas station for fuel that I finally realized that I had accidentally set the GPS to avoid all “Motorways” aka “Highways!” We had been taking the back roads across the country for 6 hours!! lol In the end, I realized that it was one of the most memorable days of the trip because we got to see so much more than we would have on the ahhmm…motorway (who knew they called it that btw?) lol. Sometimes I close my eyes and I can still see the French countryside whizzing by me, and I am so grateful for that memory!
