Good morning! I have a sun drenched Creative Edit post to share with you today. We took these photos on Monday afternoon in a colonial town near by that’s known for it’s rolling vineyards and quaint downtown core. We came across this blooming Magnolia Tree and I squealed with delight! I wait patiently all year long for this moment. If you’ve seen any of my recent videos, you’ll understand why. I am absolutely spell bound by beautiful blooming trees. In fact, you may even see another Creative Edit featuring cherry blossoms before spring is over…This week I decided to focus on light leaks for my edit. I offer a number of lovely light leaks in The Vintage Collection– (also available in The Complete Collection – 347 Presets & Brushes) that will turn your photos into beautiful sunny portraits. I used my Canon 5D and a 50mm lens for the shoot. We achieved this wonderful hazy look by putting the subject matter (me lol) in front of the late afternoon sun and allowing a small amount to poke through above. When I took the photos into Lightroom I balanced out my shadows and highlights and added a variety of Light Leak Presets = (Title shot – “Right Leak” – 1. “All Over Sun”, 2. “Funky Fresh”, 3. “Sun Left”, 4. “Sun Right”, 5. “Left Leak”, 6. “Strong Right.”) The result is a graceful look that adds a touch of sophisticated elegance! We also shot some behind the scenes footage of the shoot so don’t miss that below! Well, I will see you on Saturday for Chic Notes No.3….until then…sweet dreams until sun beams find you!
