Lovely Ladurée: Chic Presets
If you’ve spent even the smallest amount of time in Paris, you know that patissiers are a common sight in the city. You don’t have to walk very far before you come across a beautiful window display filled with all sorts of tantalizing sweets and treats. It’s one of the reasons why I fall deeper and deeper in love with the city every time I visit. On this particular trip, we decided to have tea and macarons at the lovely Ladurée Tea Salon. When you arrive on the corner of Champs Élysees and Rue Lincoln, you’re met with the beautiful green metal work that you see in the photos and a row of windows filled with the most elegant boxes that you’ve ever laid eyes on! Every inch of the exterior calls to you and invites you in for what is sure to be the best dining experience in Paris. When you set foot inside, your eyes are instantly drawn to the row of macarons, tarts and pastries that are available for take away. We eyed up a few macaron flavors and decided to head upstairs to the sitting rooms. It’s hard not to appreciate the way the salon is designed. Each dining room is themed with its own color palette and furniture inspired by the late 1800’s. We chose the room that featured the signature Ladurée green. We ordered the Marie Antionette tea and selected: Rose Petal, Salted Caramel, Pistachio, Vanilla, Lemon and Chocolate for our macarons. I don’t think that I’ll be able to describe the experience of devouring those little beauties, but I will tell you this: Lovely Ladurée does not disappoint! I highly recommend that you treat yourself to an afternoon of tea the next time you are in Paris.
